General Information
A letter is sent to each certificant whose CE requirement is due,
asking him or her to sign the bottom of the letter, attesting to the fact
that he/she has fulfilled the CE requirement. Then, ten (10) percent of
all certificants are randomly audited, and they are requested to provide
proof of having met the CE requirement. This means that they are required
to submit a copy of their CE certificate from an ARCB-approved provider,
or they must have submitted a previously approved ARCB application form
for independent study or for attendance at a nonARCB-approved class,
event, or activity.
Definitions
Continuing Education (CE) is defined as any planned learning experience
which builds on the education gained in an initial program of training in
Reflexology and which has been approved through a peer review mechanism
recognized by the ARCB. Each learning experience must be at least one
contact hour and designed to acquire or improve skills, knowledge, or
behavior needed to promote a Reflexologist’s professional or technical
development, or advance career goals, and to foster personal growth and
development.
If a certificant attends a course through an ARCB-approved provider,
he/she receives a CE certificate from the provider. At the conclusion of
the course, the attendee does not have to submit a copy of this
certificate to ARCB unless specifically requested to do so as outlined
above.

Non ARCB-approved courses may include, but are not limited to, such
things as aromatherapy, homeopathy, spiritual studies, etc. If a
certificant chooses this option, then he/she will have to submit an
application form to ARCB along with the appropriate fee, requesting
approval of these CE credits. Please

Independent study is an activity developed and directed by the
individual learner. Independent study may include, but is not limited to,
such things as writing articles, watching videos, serving on a Board,
delivering a lecture, or practicing skills independently. As in the case
of nonARCB-approved courses, if a certificant elects to do independent
study, then he/she will need to fill out an application form and submit it
to ARCB along with the appropriate fee. Please

A Multi-Activity Provider is defined as an individual, firm,
corporation, association, group, agency, institution, organization, or
partnership that has developed and offers more than one CE activity
(seminar, workshop, convention, course, teleconference, etc.), which has a
mechanism in place to assure adherence to ARCB standards. Please

A Single CE Activity is a teacher directed learning experience planned
by the provider and may be a seminar, workshop, convention, course,
teleconference, etc. Attendance by the learner is required. Please
